Facilities Specialist III

Job Purpose:

• The Facilities Specialist III works under general supervision and performs a variety of duties at the journey level to maintain and repair buildings, structures, and their attendant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops sound working relationships with all program staff to enhance the likelihood of effective outcomes for the Center.
• Duties include carpentry, painting, locksmith, plumbing, electrical, control systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and related work as required.
• Depending upon need, duties of incumbents in this classification may emphasize a particular trade associated with building maintenance and repair.
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in coordination of work, requisitioning of supplies and inspection of work performed.
• Performs rough and finish maintenance carpentry and plastering on commercial, public and residential buildings.
• The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance.
