Responsibilities

In this role the Medical Laboratory Technician will perform the following job duties:

Work closely with a Laboratory Technologist in the performance of diagnostic procedures.

Perform procedures as efficiently and expeditiously as possible.

May exercise limited independent judgment and work under the supervision of a Laboratory Technologist, Supervisor or Director.

Qualifications

Education/Training

• Required: Certificate training program at an approved school for Medical Technician level training leading to state licensure
• Preferred: Associates Degree in MLS

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Current Florida License Laboratory Clinical Technician (TC) or eligibility for licensure

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:

• Required: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Preferred: Previous laboratory experience
